Gretta Ziller has released the official music video for her latest single and title track of her debut album, Queen of Boomtown, out 1 September through independent record label, Social Family Records and available to pre-order now.
Filmed out at Dural in Sydney’s north-western outskirts, the video was produced and directed by Joyce Ong and Michael Tan of New Heights Media. Beautifully shot, it paints a picture of isolation, standing tall in a metaphorically abandoned place, as the song implies.
“When Joyce and I started talking about the video, it was an easy transition, with both of us having a similar idea about the sort of outdoor location we wanted to shoot, the grand piano…the crown…the whole lot. On the day of filming, everything ran together seamlessly and I think that comes across in the clip, which I’m incredibly proud of,” says Ziller.
